HR Director/People Operations Specialist
Job Summary: Angels on Call Homecare, a leading licensed homecare agency in New York, is seeking an experienced HR Director/People Operations Specialist to join our team in Peekskill. In this critical role, you will oversee our Human Resources Department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture. This is a full-time position based in Peekskill, with standard office hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Responsibilities: + Oversee all aspects of employee compliance and personnel records, ensuring strict adherence to New York State Department of Health regulations. + Lead and manage the People Operations Department, including supervision of a team of three recruiters, oversight of caregiver compliance and certifications, and ensuring timely adherence to regulatory standards. + Maintain accurate employee documentation, including personnel files, certifications, and compliance logs. + Develop and conduct comprehensive training sessions on benefits programs such as PTO, PSL, PFL, and DBL. + Manage and report workers' compensation claims, proactively resolving issues and ensuring compliance. + Administer and manage health benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, ensuring that all employee benefits are compliant with regulations and aligned with company goals. + Act as a trusted advisor to management and staff on employee relations matters, promoting a culture of respect and collaboration. Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and workplace satisfaction. + Utilize HR systems to streamline operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support data-driven decision-making. Requirements: + Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a Human Resources management role, preferably within healthcare or homecare. + Expertise: Thorough understanding of New York State Department of Health regulations and compliance requirements. + Skills: Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; exceptional organizational and communication abilities; proficiency in HR software and systems. + Attributes: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities with attention to detail, and a dedication to achieving excellence.
