As an HR Generalist with BrassCraft, we’ll look to you to help build, improve, and sustain working relationships and align business objectives with employees and management to support an environment where high performance thrives. You will proactively identify opportunities for improvements in processes, procedures, and routine tasks, utilizing best practices and feedback you receive to help the department operate efficiently. This position may face complex problems and must analyze possible solutions while influencing others through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.

Are you customer-focused? You will act as the first point of contact for employee needs, providing assistance with benefits, policies, processes, and practices. You will partner with the Service Center at our parent company, Masco, and other members of the human resources team to resolve issues and provide outstanding service to internal customers
Are you inquisitive? We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and willing to tackle new challenges, like establishing a communication framework that compliments the HR operating model and meets to the needs of the employees.
Do you enjoy sourcing? Leveraging job boards, trade schools, community organizations, staffing agencies, and other sources, you will source and identify qualified candidates with a focus on building a diverse workforce. You’ll also build a candidate pipeline for future openings and determine when agency partners are necessary to meet hiring needs.
Can you navigate complexity and ambiguity? You will manage daily attendance and headcount metrics and make determinations on any related disciplinary actions. Further, you will participate in and drive various projects related to HR business practices and policies. You will manage our employee termination process, conducting exit interviews to collect information regarding employee experience, reasons for leaving, and any other feedback, and making recommendations to address those findings
Are you organized and detail-oriented? You will be responsible for the maintenance and archival of all active/terminated employee files and will own the proper filing of personnel records. You will also administer employee leaves of absences, coordinating between the employee, management, and third parties to ensure seamless experiences for all parties. You will perform data entry in various systems, audits and related to legal/informational postings.
Are you analytical? You will assist in reviewing and interpreting data and metrics regarding workforce trends and may prepare or assist in PowerPoint presentations and other documents in support of new programs, existing programs, areas of concern, etc.
Are you a team player? You will participate in team projects, meetings, trainings and other events when appropriate and will assist the team with special events, and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization, including the ability to present information to a group of co- workers, supervisors, managers, or higher-level executives.
Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, as well as within a team environment
Willingness and ability to work 100% onsite at our Thomasville, NC location.

Hold SHRM-CP or PHR certification
