In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Provides HR representation and input to manufacturing employees and operations management on matters pertaining to employee coaching, conduct, and corrective action; policy interpretation and application; employment practices; and complaint resolutions. Research and respond to employee concerns; investigate claims and allegations, document findings, and recommend resolution – on all 3 shifts. Recommends and advises management on organizational issues and matters supporting a positive work environment and a high-performance culture that embraces all ethical and compliance guidelines. Additionally provides insight to turnover reduction. Analyzes trends and metrics, seeking opportunities and strategies to improve trends in turnover, retention and key indicators of employee and customer engagement. Works closely with Plant HRBP on administrating and updating all HR policies and practices in accordance with local, state, and federal regulatory laws. Participate in and lead company communication meetings (monthly Toolbox Meetings, Quarterly Communication Meetings) as well as department meetings held by the production supervisors, offering guidance and support on HR related topics. Provides counsel and guidance to employees and management related to benefits, short-and-long term disability, parental leave, FMLA, and any other benefit and leave related area. Additionally, responsible for all administrative duties related to above. Lead sites internship/co-op program. Lead and attend career fairs in establishing Emerson Professional Tools as an employer of choice in the community. Partnering with Maintenance and Production departments in maintaining sites apprenticeship programs. Lead all processes involved in new employee onboarding and offboarding and look for process improvements. Look for ways to improve the employee experience. Support with Plant HRBP with the successful completion of Emerson’s yearly employee opinion survey process and action plans. Partners with site BU HR Team in leading and maintaining various employee engagement, wellness and volunteer activities designed to promote and maintain a high level of employee morale. Assists with consistently enforcing policy and safety procedures across departments and shifts. Drives compliance with monthly safety audits, engages employees to identify hazards. Support ad hoc projects, like writing job descriptions, exit interviews, managing communications, partnering with vendors, and organizing training. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with HR leadership and/or legal as needed/required. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Who You Are: You build a positive and motivating environment. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience required. Manufacturing environment experience. Strong Microsoft suite skills including PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization (Hourly to C-Suite), both written and verbal. Decisive and confident, open and candid with the ability to energize others. Knowledge of employment laws and legal compliance Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role. Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Knowledge of payroll systems preferred.
