HR Generalist
Description We are seeking an HR Generalist to join the team of a leading corporation located in Honolulu, Hawaii. This HR Generalist role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where you will be responsible for various HR functions including recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, payroll, new hire orientation, and HR administration. Responsibilities: • Manage the recruitment process, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience • Administer employee benefits, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded • Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures, as well as with federal, state, and local legal requirements • Manage payroll processing, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time • Organize and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding, helping new employees adjust to their new roles • Oversee HR administration, maintaining accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation • Utilize ADP Workforce Now for various HR functions • Handle employee relations, resolving any issues that arise • Manage leave of absence process, including FMLA • Other duties as assigned Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the role of HR Generalist or similar position • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred for managing payroll and HR services • Knowledge and experience in Benefit Functions is essential for managing employee benefits • Excellent Communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with all levels of the organization • Familiarity with Compliance procedures to ensure all HR policies adhere to legal and company standards • Experience in Employee Relations is needed to manage the relationship between employees and the organization • Knowledge of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) procedures and requirements for managing employee leaves of absence • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions • Strong understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.
