Job DescriptionPosition Overview: S Senior level of both administrative and application of plant human resources activities for all positions, including: recruiting, interviewing, hiring, administering employee benefit programs, conducting employee orientations, maintaining personnel records, and serving as payroll administration support.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Aligns with job posting procedures and selection of employees for promotion within the plant to ensure fairness and equity.Aligns with Operational Management, HR Manager and related trainers in the maintenance and tracking of training records.Supports organization in the employee engagement process to include surveys, employee recognition activities, service awards and related social events Supports the recruitment and onboarding process for both exempt and non-exempt positions, to include the development of applicant pools, screening , and interview processes;, conducts reference and background investigations. Works with third party recruitment agenciesIs instrumental in the development and execution of the on-boarding, orientation, initial training and trail period follow-up process in coordination with the HR Manager and Plant Director. Responsible for completing and maintaining all required paperwork and documentation required by the Company or governmental agencies.Maintains all hourly personnel files in electronic format as well as implementation of records in to the HRIS system in an organized, accurate, manner in accordance to established policy and practices . Responsible for employee record self-audits of all files, records, I-9’s and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with all legal requirements and includes the responsibility to collect, record, and file information necessary for implementation of effective reporting.Administers benefits programs by explaining SPD’s and working with the Corporate Benefits area to resolve benefits problems. Conducts benefit communication programs and assists with annual and new hire benefits enrollment.Monitors and maintains accurate information in Workday and Kronos including time collection system and attendance tracking. Monitors and maintains employee attendance records through Kronos system to ensure that absenteeism is kept at the lowest possible level and assists managers in taking corrective action as required, ensuring consistency with the Attendance Policy.Supports administrative HR duties including tracking safety equipment apparel, shoes, and other related PPE.Supports HR team in engagement and activities for all employees to maintain an accurate sense of employee morale and attitudes. Closely support HR Manager in the investigations of employee concerns and complaints. Maintains confidentiality in sensitive matters.Tracks corrective actions.Assists HR Manager with other duties and tasks as required, including employee relations activities and services.Stays abreast of current developments in local, state and federal regulations. and/or legal requirements through readings, professional associations, and seminars.Qualifications: Education
BA/BS in Employee Relations, or related field, or related experience. Experience of three to five years administrative experience to include demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to effectively and confidently communicate with personnel, management and customers at all levels
Computer literate - demonstrate a working knowledge and application of various software applications (e.g., WORD, XCEL, PPT, etc.) becomes proficient in HRIS systems such as Workday, Kronos and FMS systems. Must have strong EXCEL capabilities.
Highly organizational skills including time management
Decision making skills, along with ability to understand pertinent laws, are critical.
