The Human Resources Generalist provides expertise and guidance to leadership and clients on matters regarding the workforce. Building strong relationships with team members, the HR Generalist fosters a culture of family spirit. The Generalist helps Leadership determine strategies and executes plans for talent development. The Generalist also administers general human resources duties, such as payroll, benefits, recordkeeping and training. The generalist may review, update and deploy new human resources policies and practices.
\n\nResponsibilities
\n\nGuide managers in employee relations and performance management.\nAdminister employee compensation, training and benefit programs.\nServes as the primary knowledge center for questions regarding company policies, practices and regulations.\nProcess, verify and maintain documentation relating to HR activities such as staffing, training and performance evaluations.\nResponsible for payroll data integrity and timecard processing.\nMaintains personnel files, monitors deadlines, timely follow up.\nPoint of contact for training and professional development opportunities, CAI memberships and classes.\nTracks branch device inventory.\nLeads Culture Committee and employee morale initiatives.\nRecordkeeping for Safety Committee.\nAssist with recruiting and staffing assignments as needed.\nMonitor and report on branch employment metrics.\nOther duties as assigned\n\n RequirementsKnowledge & Skills
\n\nPositive attitude, solution oriented and self-motivated.\nEmotionally intelligent and objective decision maker.\nTime management and time critical prioritization skills.\nHigh level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.\nTech savvy, proficient with Microsoft Office 365, ADP Vantage, mobile devices.\nStrong knowledge of business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, etc.).\nKnowledge of Human Resource policies and procedures.\nKnowledge of Title VII, FLSA, ADA/ADAAA, FMLA, COBRA.\nKnowledge of FMLA/leave administration, performance management, unemployment and workers’ compensation, and employee relations.\nKnowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.\nKnowledge of State and local governmental compliance requirements.\nExperienced in conflict resolution techniques.\nProfessional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).\n\nEducation & Experience
\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Human Resources preferred\n1+ year of related experience\nBi-lingual English/Spanish required\n\nTravel Requirements
