HR Generalist
Description Sara Walker with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity in the education industry for an HR Generalist at our location in FAIRVIEW, Oregon. The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing leave administration, including processing, communication, liaising with payroll, staffing coordination during absences, monitoring ongoing cases, handling disputes, and maintaining confidential records. Responsibilities: • Efficiently process and approve leave requests, ensuring completeness and accuracy in accordance with company policies and federal/state leave laws. • Provide clear and comprehensive information to employees about leave entitlements, procedures, and required documentation. • Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure precise tracking and compensation during leave periods, including adjustments for partial leaves or return-to-work scenarios. • Work with managers and HR team to manage staffing levels during employee absences, including arranging for contract replacements or redistributing workloads. • Oversee ongoing leave cases, particularly long-term or intermittent leaves, to manage extensions, return-to-work processes, and compliance with applicable laws. • Address disputes or grievances related to leave requests or denials, striving to resolve issues in a fair and legal manner. • Maintain secure and private leave records, adhering to data protection regulations. • Develop, implement, and provide training sessions on leave policies and procedures, including updates or changes to leave laws and company policies. Job Order: 03600-0013130440 Requirements • The candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Human Resources field. • Proficiency in executing Benefit Functions is a prerequisite for the role. • The successful applicant will be knowledgeable in Compliance, ensuring all HR policies and procedures align with regulatory requirements. • Familiarity with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is required. • A background in the Education industry is preferred. • The applicant should demonstrate a proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role. • The ability to manage multiple tasks and high-volume workload efficiently is necessary. • Proficiency in using HR software and digital tools is expected. • The candidate should show a commitment to staying informed about current HR trends and changes in employment laws. • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
