Explore. just one mile from the entrance to the iconic south rim of Grand Canyon National Park! Job Summary: The Human Resource Generalist will work with the HR Manager to run the daily functions of the Human Resource department. Tasks include administering pay, benefits, & leave, running reports from HRIS, tracking I-9, E-Verify compliance, onboarding new employees, and orientation training. The Details: Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round Pay: $50,000 per year Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why The Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon? Responsibilities Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values. Continually focus on providing exceptional guest service as a primary goal, both in how work is conducted and when interacting with guests. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Welcoming newly hired employees and executing the engagement plan throughout the onboarding journey; managing the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a great experience for new employees and a smooth start into their roles. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Administers pre-employment testing and adverse action as necessary. Ensure departmental adherence to all prescribed Company, statutory/regulatory policies and procedures. Manages monthly newsletter. Organizes employee cultural outings. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge and experience with general Human Resources office procedures and best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times, in all situations. Possess good interpersonal skills to ensure intelligent and professional communications with employees. Ability to complete multiple tasks/projects within an established and scheduled time frame. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required or at least one year of human resource experience preferred. SHRM-CP a plus. Knowledge and experience with Cloudesuite (Company’s HRIS, iCIMS). Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) language skills a plus. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
