HR Generalist
Description We are on the lookout for a diligent HR Generalist to become a part of our team in the plastics manufacturing industry. This opportunity is located in Bowling Green, Ohio, United States. As an HR Generalist, you will be instrumental in executing HR operations throughout the employee lifecycle such as recruitment, onboarding, policy administration, and employee relations, while ensuring the highest level of confidentiality and compliance. Responsibilities: • Execute full cycle talent acquisition activities for specific positions including creating advertisements, screening, and interviewing candidates, conducting background checks, and preparing offer letters • Facilitate effective onboarding for new employees including training on company policies and procedures • Assist in managing employee relations issues such as investigations, compliance concerns, and appropriate corrective actions • Participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and update this information in the ADP system • Process payroll bi-weekly in an accurate and timely manner • Maintain and update employee records & training files on a regular basis • Provide information to employees on company benefits and answer HR related queries • Assist with worker’s compensation and incident investigation matters • Contribute to employee engagement activities such as event planning, community outreach, and administering employee bonuses • Prepare and distribute a monthly company newsletter. Requirements • The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in the role of an HR Generalist, preferably in the manufacturing industry related to plastics. • Proficiency in ADP for managing payroll is a necessity. • Demonstrable experience in recruitment and sourcing is a crucial requirement. • The candidate should have strong skills in managing employee relations. • Familiarity with labor laws and employment standards is required. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must. • The candidate should be able to handle data with confidentiality. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required. • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is a requirement. • Detail oriented certification in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are necessary. • The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. • The candidate should be comfortable working with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization.
