HR Generalist
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry for an HR Generalist role based in Chicago, Illinois. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for a variety of functions including the onboarding of new permanent staff, managing employee relations, leading special projects, and recruitment tasks. Responsibilities: • Facilitate the new permanent staff orientation process in a timely and effective manner. • Handle onboarding procedures for newly recruited employees. • Execute recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates. • Nurture positive employee relations and promptly address any related issues. • Conduct employee relations investigations when necessary. • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and HR practices. • Lead special projects as assigned to improve HR operations. • Utilize Paylocity software for HR management tasks. • Manage FMLA requests and provide necessary assistance to employees. The salary range for this position is $28/hr. to $28/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a HR Generalist role or similar position within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry. • Proficient in Compliance, ensuring all HR policies and procedures adhere to local, state, and federal regulations. • Strong experience in Employee Relations, capable of managing and resolving complex employee issues. • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regulations. • Ability to conduct New Permanent Orientations effectively, providing comprehensive understanding of company culture, policies, and expectations. • Proven experience in Onboarding new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization. • Track record in Diversity Recruitment, promoting and maintaining a diverse and inclusive work environment. • Experience in conducting Employee Relations Investigations, capable of handling sensitive issues in a detail oriented and confidential manner.
