Job Summary: The HR Generalist will manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role involves a wide range of HR functions, including onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. The HR Generalist will work closely with the HR team and other departments to ensure a positive and productive work environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Onboarding: 

Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.  Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to ensure an efficient and accurate hiring process. 

Employee Relations: 

Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.  Address employee relations issues and provide guidance on conflict resolution.  Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives. 

Performance Management: 

Support managers in conducting performance reviews and setting employee goals.  Monitor and track employee performance and development. 

Compliance and Recordkeeping: 

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.  Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.  Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. 

Training and Development: 

Identify training needs and coordinate employee training programs.  Support career development initiatives and succession planning. 

HR Projects and Initiatives: 

Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and programs.  Collaborate with the HR team on strategic planning and organizational development. 

Qualifications: 

2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role or similar position.  Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.  Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.  Strong organizational and time management skills.  Attention to detail 

Preferred Qualifications: 

HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.  Experience with HRIS systems.  Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate. 

Working Conditions: 

Full-time position.  Office environment with occasional travel for recruitment events and training sessions.
