HR Generalist
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an HR Generalist in the software development industry, located in Overland Park, Kansas. This role entails working closely with the leadership team to establish HR processes, manage employee relations, and contribute to the construction of a strong organizational culture. Hybrid opportunity working Monday's remotely, and Tuesday-Friday in office. Responsibilities: • Assisting with the drafting and updating of HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance documentation. • Supporting compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, such as FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEO. • Posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews. • Assisting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. • Coordinating onboarding and orientation programs for new hires. • Serving as the first point of contact for basic employee questions and concerns. • Planning and executing employee engagement initiatives and culture-building activities. • Facilitating performance review processes and tracking employee feedback. • Coordinating training sessions as part of learning and development initiatives. • Assisting with benefits enrollment and addressing employee inquiries. • Supporting payroll processing and ensuring data accuracy. • Researching market salary trends and contributing to compensation planning. • Maintaining HR reports on hiring, turnover, and engagement metrics. • Supporting leadership with workforce analytics and HR data insights. • Ensuring accurate documentation for audits and compliance. Requirements • Proficiency in Benefit Functions, with a strong understanding of employee benefits administration • Exceptional Communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with all levels of the organization • Demonstrated knowledge in Compliance, particularly in labor laws and HR practices • Experience in handling Employee Relations, including conflict resolution and workplace investigations • Familiarity with FMLA and other leave policies, ensuring the organization's adherence to regulations • Proven expertise in Talent Acquisition, including recruitment, selection, and hiring processes • Experience in Onboarding new employees and facilitating their integration into the company • Proficiency in using HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems for efficient HR management • Experience with Applicant Track System, demonstrating an ability to manage candidate data effectively.
