Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an HR Generalist in West Lafayette, Indiana. As an HR Generalist, you will be involved in numerous aspects of human resources, including employee relations, compliance, and benefits functions. This role is crucial to maintaining a positive and efficient work environment within our manufacturing industry setting. This position will start out with three days of training, a couple of days coverage as needed, and then a possible short-term contract following (depending on company needs). Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive onboarding and orientation sessions for new employees. • Manage full cycle recruiting processes to ensure smooth and efficient hiring. • Oversee employee investigations, ensuring fair treatment and adherence to company policies. • Administer terminations when necessary, maintaining professionalism and respect. • Handle merit increases, ensuring they are awarded fairly and transparently. • Manage and track training certifications to ensure employee skill development and compliance. • Maintain open and effective communication lines within the organization. • Ensure compliance with FMLA and other relevant laws and regulations. • Manage various benefit functions, ensuring employee understanding and satisfaction. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in managing Benefit Functions. • Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal. • Proven track record in maintaining Compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. • Experience in fostering positive Employee Relations and resolving conflicts. • Proficiency in handling Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) related matters.
