HR Generalist
Description Robert Half is partnering with an established and dynamic client in San Diego, CA, to find a skilled and resourceful HR Generalist. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about all aspects of human resources, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and compliance. Key Responsibilities: + Administer and oversee recruitment and onboarding efforts, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for new hires. + Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws. + Serve as a trusted resource for employees and management on matters related to employee relations, performance evaluations, and workplace issues. + Support benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee education about offerings. + Assist with payroll processing and tracking employee time-off requests. + Maintain and update employee records, HRIS systems, and documentation to ensure accuracy and confidentiality. + Lead or participate in HR initiatives and projects, including training programs, diversity and inclusion efforts, and employee engagement activities. + Monitor and ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. + 3+ years of experience in a human resources role, with comprehensive knowledge of HR principles and practices. + Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and experience with HRIS platforms. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all team levels. + Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion. + PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus but not required.
