Job Description
Assist in various human resource functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, personnel records management, conducting employee orientation programs, and policy enforcement.
ResponsibilitiesLead recruiting efforts by facilitating job openings, coordinating with recruiting agencies, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting background/reference checks, testing, and follow-through communications on candidates and the stages in the process.Manage the onboarding process for direct hires and temps and lead orientation.Assist in the planning, coordination, and facilitation of yearly company events including Employee Appreciation Day, Holiday Party, and monthly events.Transmit payroll and/or salary changes to the accounting team and benefit carriers when applicable.Reconcile monthly invoicing of benefits.Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the executive team.Aid in monthly newsletter content creation.Facilitate administration of leave paperwork when applicable.Assist in yearly compliance reporting such as ACA and EEO.Maintain personnel files for employees.Manage the offboarding process, including coordinating exit interviews, equipment collection, final pay details, and termination paperwork.Update documents and links that are shared with the staff.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills2 years of experience in HR Coordination or as an HR Generalist.Experience with recruiting and onboarding, including working with agency partners.Proficiency in HRIS (ADP Workforce Now).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Bachelor's Degree or PHR or HR certification.Typing speed of 40 wpm.Strong data entry skills.Excellent customer service skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work effectively and relate well with individuals at all levels of the organization.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Professional image in the office and when attending meetings/workshops outside the facility.Maintains standards of honesty, integrity, trust, and confidentiality.Creative thinking in generating new ideas, presenting them, and executing them.Strong organization and planning skills.Self-starter with the ability to work independently.Reliable and able to get the job done in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.Proficient with Windows and MS Office.Ability to assess situations and make quick decisions when necessary.Strong sense of self-worth and capabilities.Takes responsibility for personal performance and development.Flexible in handling change.Aligns with the goals of the organization.Thinks clearly and stays focused under pressure.Ability to handle multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change.Handles difficult people and tense situations with diplomacy and tact.Shows sensitivity and understands others’ perspectives.Work Environment
Hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm with the option for a 2-day/week remote hybrid schedule after 6 months of training and upon conversion. The role requires working closely with the HR manager and HR Director. The company offers job security and promotion opportunities from within the group. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $31.25/hr.
