Job Summary:
The HR Generalist plays a critical role in shaping the employee experience by leading day-to-day HR operations. This role will work closely with managers across the organization, providing guidance on employee relations matters and acting as a primary resource for employees. As the first point of contact for HR-related issues—including payroll, benefits, leave of absence, and labor law compliance—you will problem-solve, influence resolutions, and mitigate risk through a consultative approach.
This role requires a versatile individual who can work independently, effectively utilize resources, adapt swiftly to changing circumstances, ensure diligent follow-through on tasks, and consistently uphold a high standard of professionalism and composure.
Essential Functions:
+ Manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
+ Serve as a key point of contact for employee concerns, offering guidance to resolve issues and maintain positive working relationships.
+ Implement efficient onboarding practices to facilitate a smooth transition for new employees.
+ Ensure HR policies are well-communicated and consistently applied across all markets.
+ Ensure all HR activities comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
+ Regularly review and update policies to reflect current legal standards, managing communication and training on such policies.
+ Collaborate with managers to identify employee training needs and support the delivery of development programs aimed at enhancing skills and career growth.
+ Maintain and utilize HR systems to track essential metrics, providing insights to drive performance initiatives and continuous improvement strategies.
+ Lead initiatives to foster an engaging and inclusive workplace.
+ Administer employee benefit programs, working with external partners to resolve any issues (including leave administration, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims).
+ Guide managers in conducting performance reviews and supporting employee development initiatives to align objectives with organizational goals.
+ Continuously seek ways to enhance HR processes, improve workflows, and promote operational efficiency.
+ Lead HR-related projects that support the company’s strategic initiatives.
+ Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
+ Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
+ Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, record-keeping, time management, and follow-up skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working with HR systems.
+ Ability to analyze data and reports to make recommendations that drive a performance-driven culture.
+ Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain a cohesive and positive team environment.
+ Understanding of benefits, compensation, and payroll, with the ability to communicate technical and complex information to all levels of the organization.
+ Knowledge of labor laws, specifically in the telecommunications and/or construction industries; familiarity with the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is required.
+ A strong desire to work on a high-growth, winning team alongside passionate and purposeful individuals.
+ Naturally curious, proactive, and self-driven, with a proven track record of taking initiative.
+ Ability to work independently, effectively managing time and priorities.
+ Highest ethical and professional conduct at all times.
Education and Experience:
+ SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is highly preferred.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
+ Minimum of five years of experience in a broad-based HR role.
+ Industry experience in telecommunications, construction, or utilities is preferred.
Compensation:
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location. The annual base salary for this position ranges from $72,000 to $95,000.
