HR Generalist - EMEA

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our HR operations across EMEA (Poland, Germany, South Africa). This role will be pivotal in handling a broad range of HR functions, including recruiting, benefits administration, personnel file management, onboarding, offboarding, background checks, drug screenings, and maintaining our HCM system (Oracle). The HR Generalist will work closely with employees and managers to provide a seamless experience in HR processes and ensure compliance with regional regulations.
Key Responsibilities:Recruiting and Talent AcquisitionManage the full recruitment lifecycle for open positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers.Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies.Coordinate with external recruiters and agencies as needed to fill specialized roles.Maintain accurate records of candidate data and manage applicant tracking systems (ATS).Background Checks and Drug ScreeningsCoordinate and conduct background checks and drug screenings for candidates and new hires in compliance with company policies and regional laws.Work with third-party vendors to ensure timely and accurate processing of screenings.Communicate results to hiring managers and maintain appropriate documentation for compliance purposes.Stay updated on local and regional regulations to ensure screening practices meet all legal requirements.Personnel File ManagementMaintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.Regularly audit and update personnel files for compliance with local and regional regulations.Ensure confidentiality and proper documentation of employee data.Onboarding and OffboardingFacilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires, including documentation, orientation, and training coordination.Coordinate offboarding procedures, including exit interviews, final payroll, and benefits processing.Ensure that departing employees’ files and company equipment are processed and returned in compliance with company policies.HCM System ManagementEnter and maintain employee data in the Oracle HCM system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HR policies.Generate reports and analyze data from the HCM system to support HR initiatives and decision-making.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the HCM system and collaborate with IT as needed.HR Policies and ComplianceSupport the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures across EMEA.Stay informed on labor law changes in EMEA, ensuring the company’s compliance with regulations.Assist with audits and provide documentation to ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements.Employee Engagement and SupportAssist with initiatives that promote a positive employee experience, such as wellness programs, recognition programs, and engagement activities.Provide support on employee relations issues and help mediate as requested by HR Manager.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent experience.3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in an HR Generalist or similar role within a multi-country environment.Knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and regulations specific to EMEA.Experience with background check and drug screening processes.
