HR Generalist I

We are currently looking for a HR Generalist I for our local manufacturing facility.  In this role you will support the plant and assist with all human resources activities;  employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, recruitment, training supporting Employee Health and Safety Programs.  You will serve as a liaison between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies and procedures and helping to resolve work-related problems. 

Responsibilities:

Implement human resources programs by providing human resources services and support, including staffing, employment processing, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, completing personnel transactions. Responsible for the general oversight and maintenance of the HRIS system; this includes, but is not limited to, data entry and system updates. Maintain the training module in the HRIS and ensures that all documentation and reports are up to date. Ensure that all announcements, policies, procedures are up to date in HRIS Provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation Maintain human resource manual filing systems. Update and prepare organization charts and other management information reports as necessary/required. Prepare communication of information to employees and former employees regarding Company policies. Assist with the input and maintenance of employee data and benefits enrollment in automated human resources information system. Process invoices to track and reconcile Human Resources budget. Assist in the coordination of relocation efforts with external moving companies and real estate agents. Update and maintain the Human Resources designated page on the Intranet site. Develop and oversee the summer internship program. Communicate requirements for the Company’s education reimbursement program and collect necessary information from employees to enroll them in the program. Ensure that policies, procedures, and correlated forms are in compliance with QMS requirements; communicate changes and provide training when QMS requirements are revised. Organize Company community outreach programs (blood-drives, service projects, etc.) Perform other duties as required. Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and one to two plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Position requires training and experience in general office procedures, policies, and methods; knowledge in the use of office equipment, strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to use good judgment in the completion of a variety of work situations; ability to organize, multi-task, and plan work to meet deadlines SPHR/PHR Certification preferred. This position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software, HRIS software, and the Internet. ADP experience preferred.
