HR Generalist II

Summary

This HR Generalist II position will be responsible for supporting salaried professionals within the Couplings North American region, primarily for the Commercial Operations and Engineering teams, with opportunity to support additional groups as the region grows. This position is broad in scope and will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day tactical HR support, including recruitment, leaves of absence, payroll, benefits, and data accuracy in the HR system (Workday).


Responsibilities

HR support and primary contact for the Commercial Operations and Engineering managers and associates who are located across multiple states in the region, including opportunity to support additional groups as the region continues to grow.Partners with managers, associates, and human resource teams to effectively deliver HR processes and programs that drive business results including but not limited to employee relations, performance development, engagement, retention, change leadership and transitions, individual and team development, compensation, diversity inclusion, and talent acquisitionEstablishes and build positive, meaningful relationships with management and associates within assigned groups to act as a vital resource and trusted advisor.Coach and counsel management and employees in the interpretation and application of HR and organizational policies and procedures, assuring fairness and consistency.Maintains associate data in various HR systems (with a high level of accuracy and integrity) to include personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, terminations, and associate data.Supports the off-boarding process to include conducting exit interviews for employees, preparing separation documents, and executing required termination actions.Participates in ongoing Talent Management processes for employees such as recruitment, performance review, and timely completion of performance review documents and calibration meetings.Supports policies, programs and culture-building initiatives to drive deeper employee engagement. This includes follow through actions from the bi-annual Employee Engagement Survey.Assists with leading HR compliance efforts that meet corporate policy as well as state and federal regulations.Participates in projects and initiatives in HR and/or Couplings to further deliver business results.Supports administration of employee leaves of absences relative to FMLA, ADA, etc.Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.Minimum of 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a minimum of 2 years of previous HR Generalist experience.Less than 10% travel required to regional Couplings sites, as needed.Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills which fosters collaboration and develops high quality working relationships in order to influence, gain support, and achieve results.Previous experience utilizing an HRIS system.A strong sense of urgency and orientation to details and accuracy.Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and multiple priorities.Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and an advocate for change.Proven ability to model professionalism, integrity, passion, and initiative with projects and tasks.Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills, including the ability to collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions where limited standardization or information exists.Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
