HR Generalist (Maternity Cover)

Job Description

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will work closely with business leaders and line managers to build their people approaches that achieve shared organisational objectives. You will act as the point of people expertise for your business area and be the local people expert for UKI demonstrating a strong and practiced knowledge of employment law. The HR Generalist will be responsible for the management and execution of HR administration & policies/process, Compensation and Benefits Systems( payroll included).

This role is a critical part of the Divisional HR team and will be a fixed term contract.

 

Primary responsibilities:

With support from the HR Manager, work closely with operational business leaders and line managers to build their people capability, plan, talent focus and develop approaches to achieve organisational objectives.Ownership of all UK people policies and procedures, ensuring they are kept up to date and aligned with local best practices ensuring an inclusive environment for all.Coaching and providing feedback to key stakeholders to help improve business efficiency.HR advisory and employee relations support to managers as and when required within defined business areas.Training and communication of HR process, policies and procedures for stakeholders in the UK.Intentional and focused responsibility for D&I and CSR activities within the UK.Delivery of HR projects, such as process improvement, succession planning and business re-organisations.Autonomously drive HR processes such as talent reviews, performance calibration and compensation cycles for defined business area.Ownership of Division HRIS system, HR data analytics and monthly HR Scorecard Reporting.Ownership of HR related content and communications on social media, building a clear communications plan for the division.Role model for ITW values: Integrity, Respect, Trust, Shared Risk and Simplicity

QualificationsCIPD qualified or other relevant HR qualification or experienceMinimum of 2 years HR generalist experience, ideally within the manufacturing industryExcellent knowledge of UK employment lawProven ability of taking full ownership of responsibilities and delivering resultsComfortable to challengeProactive in their approachKeen attention to detailExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsHighly competent with Microsoft Excel
