Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist/Recruiter in a large manufacturing organization, based in Chicago, Illinois. As an HR Generalist, you will be pivotal in maintaining HR operations, including recruitment, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations. Recruiting for hourly/entry level positions is an absolute must.
The Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter will play a crucial role in supporting the overall HR functions. This role involves operational responsibilities, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration. This is a Hybrid position. Client offers full benefits, including: medical, dental, vision, 401k, short and long term disability, and PTO. Salary target $70k-$75k plus bonus.

Key Responsibilities
+ Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, interviewing, candidate selection, and offer letters for hourly and salaried positions.
+ Build and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies, job boards, and educational institutions to ensure a steady flow of candidates.
+ Collaborate with department managers to determine staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and ensure timely hiring.
+ Oversee new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth integration into the plant’s operations and culture.
+ Serve as a point of contact for employees to address questions related to policies, and benefits.
+ Mediate conflict and address employee concerns in a fair, consistent, and legally compliant manner.
+ Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through proactive communication and engagement activities.
+ Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems.
+ Coordinate employee training programs, ensuring compliance with local laws
+ Support career development initiatives and employee skill enhancement in alignment with plant needs.
+ Assist in administering benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree required
+ Major: Human Resources is preferred.
+ Experience: 3+ years of experience in HR roles, with at least 1 year in recruitment and employee relations in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
