HR Insurance Coordinator
HR Insurance Coordinator Location: Fort Wayne, IN Level: Hourly/Pay class 4 Division / Department: Admin/HR Reports to: Payroll & Benefits Supervisor Travel: Minimal The HR Insurance Coordinator is responsible for supporting our team members and retirees through our benefits administration and health-related programs, including guiding them through benefits enrollment and open enrollment periods. This individual will process FMLA paperwork and serve as a the primary point of contact for questions on the program. The ideal candidate will be friendly and service-oriented. This team member must be organized, detail oriented, and good at processing information. Great communication and interpersonal skills are required, whether in-person, over-the-phone, or company information systems. Responsibilities include: + Provide support on medical, dental, optical, and FSA claims for staff and retirees + Handle open enrollment information through the HRIS system for benefit plans + Serve as main contact to interact with the insurance companies + Act as backup to HR Payroll Coordinator + Administer, approve and process the weekly disability program for hourly and salary staff + Manage COBRA letters and log monthly insurance payments received from COBRA participants and retirees + Prepare monthly billing/payment to vendors for the insurance programs + Assist team members with enrolling in the benefit plans + Process FMLA paperwork and answer questions on the program + Coordinate the Benefits Fair, coordinate flu shot clinics at each location and schedule Francine Friends for the Fort Wayne location + Assist Human Resources Generalists with processing of necessary HR paperwork Education, Experience, and Skills: + 1-2 years of experience in health insurance + Strong computer skills + Able to maintain confidentiality + Communication and team-work oriented + Attentive to details + Highly accurate Benefits available to you: + Full insurance benefits package including Medical, Dental, & Vision + Paid time off to foster work/life balance + Profit sharing + Bonus Pay opportunities + Retirement funding opportunities + Education reimbursement + Health club reimbursement + Career advancement opportunities About Do it Best: We’re the only US-based, member-owned hardware, lumber, and building materials co-op in the home improvement industry.
