HR Labor Relations/Generalist
Our Client, an Agricultural Machinery Heavy Equipment company, is looking for a HR Labor Relations/Generalist for their Burlington, IA location. Responsibilities: + The HR Labor Relations/Generalist acts as a business partner to management at our Burlington, IA manufacturing plant location. + The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation of employee and labor relations in a unionized facility, a desire to build solid working relationships, and a passion to positively promote the organization's labor relations practices. + Communicates and advises Human Resource Manager, Operations Managers and Supervisors on labor relations issues. + Responsible for the administration and implementation of the organizations labor relations collective bargaining agreement, policies and procedures to include unfair labor practices, disciplinary actions, grievances and arbitration. + Represents organization on all Union grievances at all steps of the procedure. + Maintains positive relations by advising managers on all aspects of the collective bargaining agreement. + Investigates employee relations issues, mediates conflict determine outcome in a timely manner. + Research/investigate current and potential labor relations issues to evaluate the impact on business operations. + Partner with bargaining unit representatives to improve resolution opportunities. + Identify labor relation issues, trends and problem areas or trends and recommends solutions. + Participate in contract negotiations. + Manage manpower placement and movement, identify training gaps, and maintain training records. + Partner with North American Labor Relations Manager on arbitrations, ULPs, and other labor relation issues. Requirements: + Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field. + 8+ years of labor and employee relations experience. + In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 16 or more years of labor and employee/Union relations experience will be considered.
