The ideal candidate will be a generalist with a deep understanding of all aspects of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR compliance. You will work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that align with our Gilbane's goals and values.  Under the guidance and direction of the People Strategist, the HR People Manager is responsible for managing HR Partner(s) to execute HR Strategies and processes across the enterprise, while directly supporting Business/Ops and Department leaders. HR People Manager will also serve as Partner/Liaison to COE in order to provide feedback and connection from the Business on their needs/aspirations.

Responsibilities Manager is responsible for managing HR Partners including setting and managing expectations, performing people leader functions, and coaching and developing team members.Supports Business Unit/Department Leaders within assigned region, division and/or department(s) to drive People First initiatives throughout the enterpriseCollaborates with senior leadership to develop and execute HR Strategies that support business objectives.Monitor HR metrics and provide insights to leaders to drive data-driven decision-making.Works closely with HR Director/People Strategy to understand enterprise and regional strategic plans, while helping the HRBPs to also understand the connection to strategy as wellEnsures that team understands priorities that align with the enterprise strategic plan and advises on execution of specific people strategies where appropriate.  Oversees multiple geographies supported by HR Partners. Experience/Education:

A minimum of 7-10 years professional Human Resources experience with at least 4-5 years as HR GeneralistThe successful candidate should possess an undergraduate degree, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree in human resource management a plus. HR certification is a plus.Prior experience in the A/E/C industry is preferable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalize ideas.Strong leadership skills to coach, develop, and motivate HR PartnersA solid understanding of the key principles of employment lawHR Specific professional qualification preferred (SHRM or HRCI)Strong change management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership to adopt changes

 

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.    

For San Jose, CA this ranges from $132,000.00-$180,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
