HR Manager

Job Summary:

The Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization’s human resources function by planning, implementing, and evaluating policies, programs, and practices. This role ensures HR operations align with business goals and compliance requirements while fostering a positive workplace culture. The HR Manager will oversee HR business partnership, talent acquisition, and talent development functions across the U.S. and will act as a strategic advisor to business leaders. Additionally, this role will manage labor relations, and drive initiatives to improve efficiency, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Leadership & Business Partnership: Serve as a strategic HR partner to business leaders, providing guidance on HR-related matters. Develop and implement HR policies and best practices to support business objectives. Lead and support workforce planning, succession planning, and talent strategy initiatives. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Direct recruiting, interviewing, and hiring programs, ensuring alignment with business needs. Advise managers on candidate selection and hiring strategies. Lead college recruiting and intern programs, ensuring a strong pipeline of early-career talent. Conduct and analyze exit interviews to improve retention strategies. Talent Development & Employee Engagement: Oversee learning and development programs, including employee onboarding, training, and leadership development. Foster a culture of continuous learning, coaching, and performance excellence. Develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention. Employee & Labor Relations: Oversee the collective bargaining process for three unions and manage union relations in partnership with field management. Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and dispute resolution. Train managers on coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actions. HR Operations & Compliance: Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Monitor HR policies and programs for legal compliance and recommend necessary updates. Represent the organization in employment-related hearings and investigations as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (HR emphasis preferred). 7-10 years of HR experience, with a strong background in Talent Acquisition, employee relations, and labor relations. Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience leading and influencing stakeholders at various organizational levels. Other Requirements: Proficiency in English (required). Bi-lingual (preferred). Ability to travel as needed.
