HR Manager - Algeria and Tunisia

Job Overview

Weatherford, a global leader in the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted HR advisor, driving key initiatives across Algeria and Tunisia to enhance workforce performance and business success.

Collaborating closely with leaders and employees, you will lead efforts in organizational development, employee relations, coaching, retention, engagement, and site culture. This is an exciting opportunity to shape HR strategies that align with business objectives in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

The position is based in Algiers, with approximately 50% travel to Hassi Messaoud.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with leaders to develop and implement both long-term and short-term HR strategies aligned with business goals. Ensure compliance with labor laws, corporate policies, and industry best practices while maintaining high governance standards. Champion a culture of safety, security, and environmental responsibility, prioritizing employee well-being and community impact. Analyze business challenges to develop effective, data-driven HR solutions. Provide strategic coaching on succession planning, career development, and performance management. Lead change management initiatives related to organizational, portfolio, and leadership transitions. Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, etc.) to drive HR strategies and workforce planning. Demonstrate leadership, ethical behavior, and adherence to Weatherford's standards 

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. 8+ years of progressive HR experience with a track record of success in multiple HR business partnership roles. Strong HR generalist experience in the energy sector. Proficiency in Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and analytical tools and dashboards. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Solid financial acumen and understanding of HR service delivery. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Commitment to talent development, succession planning, and fostering a high-performing workforce Experience operating in international teams. In-depth knowledge of local labor laws and regulatory requirements.
