HR Manager/ ER Specialist

The Human Resources Manager/ Employee Relations Specialist will be a hybrid role serving as both an HR Generalist to the NA Operations team and various business units in our Wilmington, DE office and an Employee Relations Specialist supporting various clients. This position will dual report into the VP, Senior HRBP NA Operations & Technology and into the Employee Relations center of excellence. The role will be based in Philadelphia and requires occasional travel to our Wilmington, DE office.

Key Responsibilities 

Establish and implement human resources efforts that effectively communicate and support the company’s values, vision and strategic goals in partnership with the Centers of Excellence to implement programs aligned with HR strategies and aligned with business objectives:

Provides guidance to management on HR related issues (including performance management and workplace conduct) and recommends appropriate actions based upon business needs and strategies in consultation with HR Business Partner and in consultation and collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence Provides HR support to employees of assigned units on a host of HR related topics and issues Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure the recruitment efforts are delivering upon the expectations of leadership and management team Ensure successful onboarding in partnership with HR Operations for new hires  Provide management with HR data analytics to support their decision making around their teams; leverages Excel for reporting and tracking in order to provide data analysis and identify trends. Verify employee data and records are correct in partnership with HR Operations and updated with appropriate regard for confidentiality. Increase the effectiveness of HR related programs by training and counseling supervisors and managers  Support local events in Wilmington, DE related to employee engagement and welfare Provides consultation, support and guidance to HR Business Partners and Managers on performance or conduct issues in accordance with employment policies and practices Conducts investigations of employee complaints and disputes within company policy; ensures appropriate documentation of findings and recommends corrective action and/or appropriate resolution. Provides training and coaching to managers on best practices for employee relations, disciplinary procedures and compliance with internal policies 3-5 years of experience in Employee Relations or as an HR GeneralistGeneral knowledge of functional areas within HR including compensation, benefits, recruiting, employment, and employee developmentProficiency in Excel and a demonstrated ability to manipulate data and present analysis in an organized and informative wayAbility to quickly learn new technology, such as case management software and internal social media platformsExcellent multitasking, organization and time management skills; ability to independently prioritize and meet deadlinesAbility to maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee informationInfluencing skills and ability to maneuver through private and sensitive employee mattersExcellent written and verbal communication skills
