Summary: 


We are looking for an HR Manager for Arbor Lodging's Hampton Inn/Homewood Suites on Magnificent Mile. 


This individual will oversee HR operations at the hotel. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. This position is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function within Arbor Lodging. 


Duties & Responsibilities: 

Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture. Oversee employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures. Address and resolve employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances quickly and effectively. Lead recruitment efforts for the property, collaborating with hiring managers to identify staffing needs. Develop and manage performance evaluation processes, providing feedback and coaching to enhance employee performance. Implement and oversee professional development and training programs. Ensure compliance with state labor laws and regulations, keeping abreast of changes and updates. Implement and enforce HR policies to minimize legal risks and maintain a compliant workforce. Manage employee benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with local regulations. Develop and maintain HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs. Provide regular reports to senior management on key HR performance indicators. Ability to work in-person 5 days a week 

Work Experience

Qualifications: 

3+ years of labor relations experience working with a unionized workforce Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience as an HR leader in the hospitality industry, with specific experience in hospitality. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work in a fast-paced environment.
