This position requires an individual to act as team member champion, change agent and business partner while providing organizational efficiency and effectiveness. The HR Manager proposes and initiates specialized projects and implements programs requiring a thorough understanding of human resources processes and their strategic impact on the business. This position will support functional areas at meetings that influence business strategies (e.g. talent acquisition, talent development, succession planning, performance management, strategy deployment, strategic workforce planning, etc.) This position reports to the Global Division HR Manager (APS/EPM) with a dotted line to the Global Division HR Manager (NVH). This position is the site HR manager for the Cary facility and serves as the HR manager for Parker LORD team members based in field locations. + Lead, manage, and report on site level HR programs and initiatives. + Own the Cary facility engagement strategy and activities, including leading the Cary facility engagement HPT. Acts as an engagement champion and change agent to encourage team member engagement in the business. + Lead activities related to succession planning, talent development, talent reviews, and performance management for the Parker LORD Central Division. + Manage AAP reporting and compliance for the Cary facility. + Act as business partner with site Parker LORD Central, APS, and EPM people managers. + Assist functional leaders with implementing high performance teams in functional areas. + Collaborate in the formulation and implementation of department goals, policies and procedures to ensure effective delivery of human resource services to customers. Administer various human resources plans and procedures. + Provide employee relations leadership to ensure a proactive focus is given to empower team members and people leaders. Assist team members on employee relations issues and HR policies/procedures. Address complex and varied questions and concerns by team members. Assist with implementation of coaching/performance improvement plans. + Continuously evaluate, improve, and automate HR processes such as staffing, on-boarding, development, etc. + Assist in assessing needs, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training initiatives. Lead training efforts related to HR systems, policies, programs, initiatives. + Manage the approval process for items such as promotions, increases and other personnel transactions. + Provide Talent Strategy leadership to ensure the highest level of talent acquisition, development, and retention. + Responsible for leading a talent acquisition and development process that drives the process of attracting and retaining strong talent. Lead strategic staffing, workforce planning, recruiting, on-boarding, and exit activities. Evaluate, create, and revise job descriptions. Perform compensation analysis. + Ensure consistent application of practices and compliance with federal and state employment regulations. Provide guidance for compliance with regulatory agencies, e.g., EEOC, OSHA + Manage quality, timeliness, and accuracy of Cary site standard HR work. + Perform and use HR data analysis to identify trends and make improvements. Develop and publish management reports and presentations. + Lead EMG or Parker LORD HR projects as assigned by DHRMs. + Lead Parker LORD Central, APS, and EPM investigations, from intake to closure. + Ability to travel up to 15%. REQUIRED + Minimum of eight years of progressive HR generalist experience and responsibility including prior human resource management role with supervisory experience. + Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Finance, or related discipline. + Integrity, with ability to handle highly sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. + Strong problem-solving skills. Strong interest and aptitude for data analysis. Highly skilled with using systems, technology, and Excel. High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality. Passion for evaluating processes and implementing continuous improvement. + Demonstrated excellence in project management, communication, influencing, listening, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate large groups of people at all levels of the organization. Skilled at conflict resolution. + Strong collaboration. PREFERRED + At least four years’ experience in a human resource management role (supervisory) + Experience working with team members from different countries. + Experience acting as a business partner with various functions. + Knowledge in more than one Human Resource field, i.e., labor law, training, benefits, and compensation. + Skilled at mediation. + MBA
