The Sr. Human Resources Manager is responsible for creating and implementing HR strategies that support Dollar General Private Fleet. This role will ensure that HR practices comply with labor laws and legal standards. Key responsibilities will include providing guidance to senior leadership on all Private Fleet concerns, plan and address employee and management issues, and fosters a positive workplace culture. The Sr. Human Resources manager will monitor HR KPIS that include driver retention and turnover rates, in addition to creating key initiatives for driver engagement.
Job Details Develops the HR strategy and manages the execution for all of Dollar General’s Private Fleet operationLeads a team of HR Managers and HR Generalists on all HR related matters for Private Fleet excluding Recruiting Maintain the annual communications calendar for benefits, organization events, business executive meetings, and monthly initiatives for Private Fleet.Responsible for the creation and execution of retention strategies that promotes employee engagement, delivers workforce stability and achieves retention goals. Develop employee engagement strategies for the functional areas and execute appropriately.Provides coaching to Fleet managers and Fleet supervisors.
Handles escalated HR questions/issues regarding Private Fleet truck drivers and leadershipEnsure consistency, efficiency and compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and company policies. Ensure all HR activities are compliant with the established
Manages staff workload and development for direct reportsExcellent teamwork and collaboration skills including strong communication skills.
