Closing Date: 18/11/2025 Purpose: The role is accountable for the business partner relationship to deliver the HR strategy and working with line managers within the Function. To enable bottom line growth and the achievement of business plans and overall strategic direction of the business/organization. Key Responsibilities: Providing advisory service with regards to HR related practices, policies and procedures enhancing established business relationships Ensure that job profiles and competency matrices are maintained and available for all positions in area of responsibility Update and maintain organization structures and planning in line with Distell requirements and policy Track completion of objective setting, midyear review & end year reviews sessions with departmental plans Monitor completion of employee profiles & talent cards Organizing and maintaining personnel records Managing HR documents (e.g. employment records and onboarding guides) Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave) Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance Answer employees queries about HR-related issues Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules) Arrange travel accommodations and process expense forms Participate in HR projects (e.g. help organize a job fair event) Education & Experience: A 3-year qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, Humanity, Business or any other related field Minimum 1-3-year experience in Human Resources, or in an Organisational Development/Effectiveness environment. Sound knowledge of HR trends, best practices and procedures as well as appropriate labour legislation, e.g. Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, etc. Good business acumen and successful problem-solving experience leading to lasting employee relations solutions within a business. Computer literate and technologically savvy in the general office management systems e.g. MS Office as well as HR Information Systems e.g. SAP Specific Company or Industry Knowledge
