We are looking for a strong Human Resources Representative for our Waipahu Distribution Center!
JOB SUMMARY: Assists in the implementation of human resources administration, including records maintenance, clerical support, legal compliance issues, training, employee service programs, union related issues, administers state or federally mandated programs
ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Performs a variety of clerical tasks to support Human Resources administration, including processing workers’ compensation claims, completing new employee paperwork, conducting new employee orientation, employment verification, and routine correspondence. (20%)
2. Maintains Human Resources records and files for all employees, including employee status changes, address changes, job bids, and pay rate adjustments, ensuring compliance with GSF, federal, and state regulations and policies. (20%)
3. Administers sick leave policies, including short- and long-term disability, FMLA, and TDI. Prepares and handles all corresponding paperwork and ensures timely submission. Administers attendance control systems and related disciplinary notices where applicable. (15%)
4. Administers union-related processes, including job bids, disciplinary notices, initial grievance steps, termination paperwork, and health and welfare benefits paperwork. (15%)
5. Prepares special reports and projects, such as attendance tracking, safety performance metrics, employee activity tracking, and vending reimbursements. (10%)
6. Processes weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Tracks vacation accruals, and holiday payouts. (10%)
7. Provides guidance and support to employees on benefits, workers’ compensation, accident reports, and human resources policies and procedures. Ensures timely and accurate responses to employee inquiries and needs. (10%)

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent and up to 18 months of post high school education. College degree preferred.
Experience:
5 to 7 years of relevant work experience
