Are you an experienced HR leader looking for an opportunity to drive impactful change? Join Johnson Matthey as HR Service Team Manager for the Americas market and play a key role in delivering efficient, high-quality HR services that support our people and business globally.
In this role, you will drive continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and optimizing HR service delivery to maintain high standards and efficiency. You will also provide leadership and support to all service delivery teams supporting Americas market, including hub HR advisors, local HR advisors and BPO team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
In this role you will:
Lead and manage HR Advisory services, including HR administration, employee support, query resolution, and Employee Relations (ER) matters.Manage and develop global HR team (local, remote, and BPO) to ensure smooth operations and alignment with JM’s values.Develop strong partnerships and open communication with business leaders, other HR teams, and stakeholders to support successful business delivery.Drive continuous improvement, automation, and self-service initiatives to enhance efficiency and simplicity.Monitor and drive the achievement of KPIs and great service standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.Act as the escalation point for challenging or critical HR situations, offering guidance and resolutions.Requirements for the role:
Degree in HR or a related field, with a strong understanding of U.S. employment law. A recognized HR qualification (e.g., SHRM) is preferred but not mandatory.Proficient in Workday or other global HR systems for shared services, with experience in operational management of ticketing systems. Familiarity with U.S. unions or works councils is a plus.Proven experience in leading global team, developing trust, accountability, and professional growth within the team and stakeholders.Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, understand business needs, monitor KPIs and SLAs, and effectively navigate challenging conversations to ensure smooth operations and effective collaboration.Skilled in leading change, driving improvement, and managing priorities with a solution-oriented mindsetSkilled in influencing decisions, resolving conflicts, and managing multiple priorities with a proactive, solution-focused approachHow you will be rewarded:Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
