What you will be doing

The Corporate Human Resources Department has an opening for an HR Specialist. 

The ideal candidate is passionate about building culture, attracting and developing top talent while driving excellence. You understand that part of your role is helping to create a fantastic associate experience, and you work hard every day to ensure that associates are at the center of your decisions. You will partner with your HR business partners and COE leaders to drive best HR practices for the clients we serve.

The position will be based in Boise, ID or Dallas, TX.

Main responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining accurate HR database records, including conducting data integrity audits as well as identifying process improvements and working with HR management to streamline.  Process all transfers, job reclassifications, promotions, and other HR processes electronically. Manage and maintain electronic personnel file database, scanning relevant documents to appropriate employee files. Provide employee relations guidance to associates as the first-line HR partner on day-to-day tier 1 issues, including: policy-related inquiries, disciplinary actions, conducting basic investigations, addressing sensitive associate issues, and escalating to HR Business Partner, as needed Administer and manage end-to-end process for Leaves and Accommodations (from initial request through negotiation, final determination, and legal review) Administer Payroll ticketing requests and process issues (e.g., pay adjustments, pay inquiries, new Pharm Tech certifications) Support and execute on Union prevention work to remain Union-free at non-union sites Performance Management - Support HR Business Partner team in communication and tracking of performance management activities, track PIP process and outcome, provide introductory performance process discussions (hourly level) Talent Acquisition – Serve as liaison between Talent Acquisition and Hiring Manager. Performs job description validation and assists with duties associated with new hire onboarding program, including completing automated new hire paperwork and I9 verification. DE&I – Conducts DEI metric tracking and communication Training & Development- Conducts compliance training reporting and follow up as well as training facilitation (e.g., Leading with Inclusion workshops, and Presence with a Purpose) Culture & Engagement – Coordinates, administers and supports culture and engagement activities Compensation / Benefits – Data management job codes, job duty analysis, escalation of bonus issues. Data Management – HR metrics tracking & reporting (performance, PIPs, succession, DEI, growth plans)

What we are searching for 

Bachelor's degree in business administration or related degree. Previous experience in HR related position (3-5 years) preferred. Ability to follow verbal or written instruction. Work requires knowledge of the policies and procedures of the office or function. Possess a good understanding of office environments and procedures with demonstrated skills using personal computers and PC based systems.  Highly skilled with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, Visio and PowerPoint. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information related to HR. Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over the telephone. Possesses working knowledge of EEO/AA and Employment Law Superior customer service experience and attention to detail skills required. Exceptional planning and organizing skills required. Experience with Oracle HRIS system. Minimal travel required (0-5%)
