This role is Hybrid - 3 days onsite in Nicholasville and 2 days virtual. 10-20% travel required.
The HR Specialist will be a part of the Human Resources function, working closely with the HR Director, location HR Managers, Corporate Program Managers, and Business Leaders to execute HR related initiatives. The HR Specialist will play a key role in the planning, implementation, support and communication of key programs and initiatives. This role support the administration of HR policies, procedures, and processes such as workforce actions, employee relations and discrete projects. The HR Specialist will also be responsible for producing key reporting and analytics to provide HR leaders with key insights into overall HR effectiveness. This role will require process, systems and planning skill sets, a strong customer service mindset and consultative capabilities.

Work closely with the HR team to plan, coordinate, implement, and ensure consistent support of people programs and processes, such as workforce initiatives, tuition reimbursement, acquisitions/divestitures, and discrete projects.Work closely with centers of expertise to support the successful delivery of central services. Produce reporting and analytics to provide HR leaders with key insight into overall HR effectiveness.Leverage tools/techniques to propose process improvements to ensure best in class support and operations.Ensure standard operating procedures (SOP’s) are being followed and non-compliant items are escalated as appropriate.Maintain compliance with state and federal employment laws and company policies. Works with HR managers and third-party benefits company regarding leaves of absence. Support and maintain positive employee relations and drives a culture of inclusion, positivity, and high engagement. Investigate employee relations issues partnering with the HR team and site leaders to resolve. Participate in project teams for key initiatives, defining efficient and effective processes, tools, training, and communications, and change management.Ensure a sustainable, effective onboarding process while playing an active role and influencing site leadership involvement, creativity and engagement.What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline is preferred 1-3 years of professional HR experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is idealGood project planning and process skillsStrong customer service mindset with good communication skillsCritical thinking and analytical skills, with an attention to detailCollaborative team playerDemonstrates good judgement and maintains confidentialityAbility to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple prioritiesAdvanced computer skills to include the use of computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); other HR systems experienceAbility to travel as needed to locations.
