Description A well-known non-profit in Carlsbad is looking to add a highly organized and dependable HR Specialist – Payroll to their team. This hybrid role combines payroll management with HR responsibilities, ensuring both compliance and employee satisfaction. If you have a strong background in payroll and Human Resources and love working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, this is the opportunity for you! Key Responsibilities: + Process payroll on a bi-weekly or monthly schedule, ensuring accuracy with garnishments, benefits, and taxes. + Administer employee timekeeping systems and address discrepancies in a timely manner. + Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local wage and hour regulations. + Assist with HR operations, including onboarding, benefits enrollment, and employee data management. + Prepare payroll reports, perform audits, and resolve payroll-related issues. + Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to improve payroll and HR procedures. Requirements + 3+ years of proven experience in payroll and HR operations. + Knowledge of payroll systems such as ADP, Paylocity, or Workday. + Familiarity with current wage and labor laws. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. + Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality. + Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR Management, or a related field preferred. + PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
