Halliburton - Benefits Specialist


This Employee Benefits Specialist role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of all UK benefits and reports into the Global Benefits team.  With minimal supervision, the specialist is responsible for the following:


•    First point of contact for all UK benefits escalations from current and former employees
•    Advocate for employees on all benefits related matters with third party insurers and administrators
•    Review and reconciliation of benefits related payroll matters for all relevant UK benefits
•    Ongoing support of benefits related systems (i.e. benefits enrollment, payroll, SharePoint, etc.)
•    Vendor management responsibilities, as they pertain to day-to-day administrative activities (i.e. invoicing, employee escalations, etc.)
•    Administration of lifestyle programs for UK employees, including Cycle to Work, Childcare vouchers, electric cars, etc.
•    Collaboration with adjacent departments on legal matters pertaining to benefits (i.e. expressions of wish cases, pension matters, etc.)
•    Facilitate benefits enrollment and education sessions as needed (i.e. lunch and learn sessions, benefits orientation/induction sessions, etc)
•    Coordinate Mental Health newsletter content / distribution, in partnership with EAP department.
•    Support the negotiation and strategic direction of annual benefits renewals 
•    Coordinate and participate in DC Master Trust / Governance Committee Meetings. 
•    Day-to-day administrative responsibilities for the DC Master Trust
•    Oversee compliance matters related to all benefit programs (healthcare, income protection, DC Master Trust and DB Master Trust)
•    Support day-to-day administrative needs of the DB Pension Scheme, in partnership with the trustees, actuaries, and third party administrators. Note that DB Pension scheme is in the midst of a buy-in /buyout exercise
•    Perform ad hoc benefits related research as needed
•    Support Global Benefits team outside the UK on benefits related activities, as appropriate.

•    Ideal candidate will display the following experience and characteristics:
o    At least 8 years of experience in administering U.K. benefits required, with specific knowledge of pension schemes and compliance matters
o    Experience utilizing SAP or other comparable HRIS systems required.
o    Problem solving and financial acumen required.
o    Self-starter that learns quickly, can thrive in a dynamic work environment and adapt to quickly changing priorities desired.
o    Must be able to think strategically and tactically.
o    Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required
