POSITION SUMMARY
Northern New Mexico Integrated Security, located in beautiful northern New Mexico, provides a professional, highly trained protective force that safely secures special nuclear material, people and other critical assets for the Department of Energy, the National Nuclear Security Administration, and the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The HR Recruiter is primarily responsible for recruiting and developing talent for Northern New Mexico Integrated Security (N2MIS). The HR Recruiter is responsible for the coordination, administration and tracking of positions and candidates, coordination of interviews and assisting with recruiting events. The HR Recruiter also provides human resources, administrative and office support to include assisting with the administration of policies and procedures, onboarding new personnel and providing training. The HR Recruiter ensures work is executed in accordance with Integrated Safety Management (ISM) and Integrated Safeguards and Security Management (ISSM) functions and principles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend local and out-of-state recruiting events. Actively participate in all aspects of the recruiting and new hire processes, including generation of job descriptions, posting advertisements, administration of pre-employment tests and background checks, employment documentation and personnel files. Maintain accurate applicant and recruitment records. Screen applications and recommend qualified candidates to the hiring managers. Schedule interviews, oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials. Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with hiring managers. Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other Human Resources staff during the offer process, identify and recommend start dates and other pertinent details.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience:
Work is performed onsite. Position is not remote. High school degree or equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in human resources, business administration or other related professional discipline. Minimum of one (1) year experience in recruiting. Currently have, or have the ability to obtain and maintain, a Department of Energy L level security clearance. Obtaining this clearance requires US citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Ability to attend local and out-of-state recruiting events. Familiarity with laws, regulations and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment. Ability to accurately interpret and follow policies, guidelines and requirements. Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize, prioritize and follow-through on multiple tasks, under strict deadlines and changing priorities. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to convey information professionally and tactfully regarding sensitive and confidential issues. Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, or related software. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license.
Desired Education and Experience (Considered a Plus):
Associate degree in a related field Human Resources certification such as the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). Experience in Human Resources or recruiting within the security industry, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Department of Energy or other government contract. Experience with Department of Energy security clearance process and Human Reliability Program (HRP). Previous work experience in a Collective Bargaining environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an office setting. Sedentary work involving extended periods of sitting while engaged with a computer terminal or phone. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday. Must have the ability to perform computer activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; determining the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work. Light to moderate lifting up to twenty pounds may be required. Regular work hours are required with evening and weekend work occasionally.
