Salary Range $60,000 to $70,000
The Job Details:
· Advise and guide supervisory staff on the application on attendance guidelines, drug testing policies and procedures and other company policies and provide training on the payroll system and other human resources topics.
· Counsel and discipline employees including issuing progressive discipline and or instating and implementing performance improvement plans.
· Conduct investigations on complaints, document all information uncovered, derive a determination and work with site management to remedy situations.
· Interview hourly-employees, supervisors, and managers to determine if offers of employment should be extended.
· Extend offers and complete offer process with background checks, DMV checks and drug tests.
· Complete E-verify process and determine if the employee is eligible for employment.
· Review completed background checks and determine if employee is eligible for employment.
· Terminate employees in person or over the phone.
· Attend operational meetings and work with site management on planning and staffing needs.
· Ensure sites are adhering to State and Federal work guidelines regarding breaks, lunches, overtime etc.
· Monitor paid vs. unpaid leave to ensure that it is processed and administered in accordance with applicable company policies and/or legislation. Including, but not limited to personal days, vacation, bereavement, military, substance abuse leave, FMLA, ADA, etc.
· Speak with employees and handle leave cases for military and substance abuse leaves are being handled through the company policy and following all state and federal guidelines that apply.
· Investigate, prepare, and write unemployment claim responses, handle unemployment adjudicator questions, and handle legal court hearings on behalf of the company.
· Monitor FMLA and ADA intermittent leaves to ensure they are within the determination letter guidelines. Providing notification to corporate office if they are not.
· Open FMLA cases.
· Identify when FMLA or ADA is needed and discuss the process and details with qualified employees.
· Review payroll and make finalized changes prior to submitting it to the payroll department.
· Report all accidents to workers comp in 24 hours or less and send additional report information to corporate office.
· Work with nurse case managers and workers comp to relay notes, medical status, work attendance and payroll information as needed.
· Receive drug testing and work status results from labs and hospitals. Advise staff appropriately.
· Determine if accommodations can be made for all light duty and/or restricted duty.
· Determining and writing return to work letters for employees out on workers comp leave.
· Enter data into HTTS safety system for monthly numbers. Also ensure all cases are coded correctly, accurately, and that all necessary documents are completed.
· Run Monthly Dart reports and hang yearly OSHA logs.
· Track all terminations and New Hire information for reporting purposes.
· Create and maintain personnel files in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
· Run reports, track and attend monthly team meeting for perfect attendance, safety awards, LMS programs, employee referrals and anniversary recognition.
· Complete Benefit and 401k meetings monthly, assist employees with open enrollment yearly.
· Provide information needed for STD and LTD Company to process claims. Also provide that same information to payroll to ensure employees are being compensated correctly.
Post jobs online, on social media, in newspaper (develop ad), internally on TVs and bulletin boards.
Attend job fairs and develop relationships with local colleges to establish Internship and Co-op opportunities.
Complete new hire orientation and new hire paperwork (Lawson, state reporting, kronos)
Work with temporary companies on needed, staff, terminations, pay etc.
Gather and review suggestion box comments and respond accordingly.
Updating social media, bulletin boards, labor posters, TV monitors, shield updates etc.
Additional participation may be required for the safety team, CIT meetings, charity planning and events, retirements, holiday party, and leadership meetings.

What We Are Looking For:
Education
• Bachelor Degree or 3 plus years of experience
Experience
• Minimum of one (1) year of progressively responsible human resources experience. Must have the ability to provide guidance, work direction and to motivate others to obtain improved performance. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Professional knowledge and experience in human resource management including problem solving, conflict resolution skills, consulting skills, operational management skills, solid financial and analytical skills.
