Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR/TA Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR and recruiting, with a strong focus on new hire onboarding and compliance. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.Extend job offers and manage the onboarding process for new hires.Ensure compliance with background checks, drug screens, and other pre-employment requirements.Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a smooth transition for new employees.Prepare onboarding materials and facilitate training sessions.Serve as a point of contact for new hires, addressing any questions or concerns.Maintain and update employee records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).Assist with HR-related administrative tasks, such as preparing reports and maintaining compliance documentation.Support the HR team with various projects and initiatives as needed.Foster a positive work environment by organizing employee engagement activities and events.Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.Essential SkillsAt least 1 to 3 years of experience in HR and recruiting.Experience with new hire onboarding and orientation.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Comfortable speaking in front of groups.Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).Knowledge of HR compliance and best practices.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's or associate degree preferred, but not required.Work Environment
100% in office, M-F 6am to 3pm or 7am to 4pm. Barge manufacturing company. Someone coming from manufacturing or construction would have an easy transition.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00
