HR Talent Relations Specialist

SUMMARY: The Talent Relations Specialist will possess a deep commitment to enhancing the workplace culture and values of the company. As a vital member of the Human Resources team, the Talent Relations Specialist will align strategies and collaborate with the HR team, employees, and managers to assist with carrying out the vision and objectives of the HR team and organization. WHAT YOU'LL DO: You will play an integral part in the development and administration of our employee relations, affirmative action, and employee advocacy programs. The Talent Relations Specialist will interface with employees, managers, and external advisors regarding policies and procedures. Be the primary contact for Employee Relations matters, progressive learning, and compliance. Facilitate necessary actions and steps to assist management with performance concerns, progressive disciplinary action and conflict management issues. Administer the equal employment opportunity and affirmative action programs and conduct internal investigations. Assist Talent Manager with recruiting efforts, including maintaining relationships with other communities and teams. Assist Talent Manager and CHRO with the development of a robust Onboarding Process to include training plans and other progressive initiatives. Supports the HR Team with a variety of clerical duties, including maintaining employee databases and files; processing status changes; assisting employees to sign up/apply for benefits; screening resumes/application forms; scheduling interviews for others; checking references; compiling data and preparing routine and special reports; providing information to employees on policies and procedures; participating in employee activities, background checks, and MVR checks, etc. Responsible for special reports and payments. Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company’s standards. Performs other related duties as assigned. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Experience in the non-profit arena, and confidence in performing the essential duties of our Talent Relations Specialist. Workable knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local equal employment opportunity laws and regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy. Excellent listening comprehension, written and verbal communication skills, incredible people skills, and emotional intelligence. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, and evaluation. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Valid CA Driver License, reliable vehicle with current insurance, and the ability to travel regularly throughout the local area. Physical requirements: sitting, standing, or walking for long periods of time and pushing, pulling and/or lifting up to 25 lbs.
