The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a dynamic role that provides strategic and hands on support to our Benefit Cosmetics Corporate office. The position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and leadership and plays a critical role in executing and supporting People initiatives.
The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to leadership and employees, reflecting business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about Benefit’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition. The HRBP will be expected to provide great internal customer support and drive HR functional excellence and process improvement. This role will also own a broad range of HR generalist responsibilities including employee relations, performance management, development initiatives, engagement/culture, policies and procedures, and compliance
What You’ll Do:
Business Partnership & Employee Relations
Collaborate with the People centers of excellence (Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, CSR, DEI, and Total Rewards) to support Benefit’s EVP and strategic goals. Meet regularly with respective client groups; consult with line management on People concerns, providing guidance on People matters and policies. Escalate and partner with the Director, People as needed. Analyze internal/external trends and data to develop solutions, programs, and policies that are in support of Benefit’s strategic goals and Benefit’s EVP. Manage and resolve employee relations issues of varying levels of complexity. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, career development, performance management). Works closely with client groups to support a best-in-class culture through strong work relationships, collaboration, morale, and increased productivity. Assist with domestic relocations, and international employees with expatriate assignments with related HR and immigration matters. In partnership with the Director, People, provides guidance and input on business unit workforce planning, and succession planning. Identifies training needs for client groups, and individual development needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met. organization charts, historical information etc.) and Company intranet, ensuring contents are organized, up-to-date and relevant. Work with clients to develop, update, and maintain accurate, inclusive job descriptions. Identify automation and process improvements to increase People team efficiency and improve the employee experience. Manage all HR Operations, ensuring People data is accurate in all people systems, and updated in a timely manner. Own all onboarding and offboarding activities for regular and temporary employees. Partner closely with key partners in Workplace Experience, Technology, and People to ensure a frictionless experience. Support immigration matters Accurately process, file, and maintain necessary employee documents including but not limited to policies, offer letters, performance documents, I-9 documents, etc. Maintain a People team informational repository (SOPs, job descriptions, policies, prior
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, and 5-8 years progressive experience in the People space. Equivalent experience may be accepted. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and California employment laws. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or HRCI credential preferred Experience working in retail or beauty industry a plus Experience managing immigration matters a plus
Schedule:
Hybrid - requires onsite presence weekly to the Benefit HQ Office in San Francisco, CA
The target salary range for this position in California is $100,000 - $120,000 annually. The actual salary offered is based on market location and will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual bonus.
