1Shift: First Shift (United States of America)Summary: The HRI Scientist supports scientific research activities of the Advanced Tissue Imaging Shared Resource (ATISR); conducts complex experiments and specialized laboratory tests; presents findings including preliminary interpretation for further review; inputs clinical and or research information into a designated database system; generates written reports; assists in manuscript and grant writing; conducts preventative and routine maintenance of equipment as needed and keeps maintenance records of lab equipment, repairs and inspections; conducts technical training of new staff; oversight of laboratory supply ordering/inventory; responds to emergency calls relating to the operations of the designated research program; coordinates OES inspections and resolves any issues and or violations in a timely manner and attends scientific meetings as require; processes samples submitted to laboratory for various studies; interacts with ATISR, users and collaborators; performs other related duties as assigned.Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated excellence in two or more of the following areas: multispectral immunofluorescent staining and image acquisition, experience with GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler, experience with BOND RXm Automated Stainer, experience with AKOYA Vectra Polaris and InForm platform and/or GeoMx digital spatial profiler
Experience managing a multi-person team, collaborating with researchers, tracking projects
Generation of scientific abstracts and data for publications and grant applications
Published peer-reviewed research
Salary range for this position is $39,900-$185,000 annually which includes comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
1. M.D. or PhD in an appropriate field; or
2. Master’s degree in an appropriate field
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Cancer Institute as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
