OVERVIEW
The HRIS Specialist performs a variety of day-to-day administrative Human Resource Information System (HRIS) functions ensuring data integrity and the processing and reporting of HR/Payroll data. Works independently under general direction. Handles problems and non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interprets guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices.
JOB DUTIESMaintains complete and accurate team member information in HRIS while protecting all confidential data and information.Establishes and runs regular schedule of audit reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Collaborates with People Analytics to build and validate dashboards and interactive reports with various levels of complexity.Functions as a subject matter expert on team member and pay-related data.Supports the payroll integrations and processing as needed.Ensures the work of other HR colleague(s) responsible for input processing and updating payroll-related information into the HRIS system is accurate and provides systems guidance as necessary.Responds to management reporting/research requests. Creates special reports as needed.Supports use of the time and attendance system ensuring timely submission by team members and managers.Analyzes HRIS record processes and identifies activities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and exceed customer expectations. Submits recommendations to management.Aids in ensuring HRIS/Payroll systems are kept up to date, assists with new configuration and testing.Assists Payroll Specialist and Accounting department with problem resolution as it relates to general ledger interface and reconciliation.Responds to requests for verifications of employment (VOEs).Responds to data requests initiated by government agencies.Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in (Required)3 years experience preparing payroll2 years working with a multi-departmental, multi-state employer with at least 500 team members3 years HRIS experience, including database management and report writing software/HRIS software enhancement1 year creating and maintaining multi-level dashboards and reports within Tableau data analytics software1 year prior experience with Ceridian and SuccessFactors softwareKnowledge of state payroll tax lawsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to interact in a positive and approachable manner with all levels of team membersStrong attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking skillsIn-depth knowledge and understanding of Human Resources Information Systems and their applicationStrong computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to create and design
