HRSTS Software Engineer
**Description** The Leidos Digital Modernization Cloud – Cloud Migration team is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Human Resources System Technical Support (HRSTS-III) Program. In this role, you will develop, maintain, enhance, and implement software applications that drive business objectives. You will participate in all phases of the application development lifecycle while supporting existing custom applications. Success in this position requires a strong understanding of Oracle databases, development tools, and EBS modules. As an Software Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals, ensuring the timely delivery of work products in accordance with commitment dates and service level agreements. This role demands a dynamic individual who can contribute to new application development initiatives while maintaining and optimizing existing applications. Additionally, you will be responsible for problem-solving, performance tuning, and technical support, ensuring solutions align with both business needs and IT standards. **Primary Responsibilities** : + Takes full-stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code. + Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/context affected when defining technical designs. + Makes sound design/coating decisions, keeping customer experience at the Forefront. + Conducts code reviews to guide engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures. + Performs failure analysis, proposes design changes, and encourages operational improvements. + Exhibits Relentless focus on software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards. + Update and communicate with the lead / manager of all related activities, issues, and risk. + Manage and work on multiple concurrent deliverables at various development and completion stages. **Basic Qualifications** + Requires BS and 5+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree. + At least 5 years of IT experience working with application systems for a medium to large company + Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government Security Clearance. + Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL, with in-depth product knowledge. + Strong understanding of Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance in scripts and applications. + Extensive experience developing Interfaces, Customizations, Conversions, Extensions, Forms (10g, 11g, 12c), Reports (10g, 11g, 12c), and BI Publisher. + Proven ability to design and implement complex integration orchestrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST, and SOAP APIs, with proficiency in JSON, XML, and related technologies. + Experience with modern web technologies, including JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue, HTML, CSS, .NET, and IIS. + Deep knowledge of system and data integration, particularly with ERP, MES, Cloud, and other business systems. + Strong understanding of API development, SDKs, and various integration methodologies. + Familiarity with Oracle methodologies such as OUM or AIM.Working knowledge of DevOps principles, tools, and CI/CD processes. + Proficiency in creating detailed and comprehensive technical documentation. + Ability to work independently, meet performance goals, take initiative, and contribute to team success in a remote environment. + Must have a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience working with Oracle HCM SaaS and Redwood. + Previous IT support of military personnel applications + Experience working with DOD customer as a contractor. + Experience implementing Oracle Flexfields, Valuesets, Taskflow/workflow. General familiarity of using UNIX operating system.
