HS&E Program Manager, Infrastructure
You are an experienced, versatile Health and Safety Supervisor responsible for leading & facilitating the work activities of HS&E teams. You are skilled at leveraging relationships with operational teams to drive continual HS&E improvement. As our new Health and Safety Program Manager, you are a problem solver, a strong communicator and continuously look for innovative solutions that can be utilized to support projects. This position supports our Infrastructure division and is based in Surrey, BC.

Essential Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain the project safety programs, including safety processes, procedures, and guidelinesProvide weekly/monthly safety meeting topics, safety bulletin topics, develop safety monthly focuses and safety campaignsEnsure programs are up-to-date and compliant with provincial regulationsWork collaboratively with Health & Safety Field Manager to ensure project safety programs are compliant with industry standards, regulations, and organizing project safety initiativesMonitor compliance with safety regulations across the projectPrepare and submit necessary reports, certifications, and safety documentation required by partners, client, and regulatory bodiesDevelop and organize project safety training programsEnsure compliance with Subcontractor Management programCollaborate with the Health & Safety Field Manger to identify potential safety risks, gaps, and areas for improvementTrack, analyze, and report on safety performance metrics (e.g., leading and lagging indicators, incident rates, near misses, corrective actions)

Qualifications:

5+ year's relevant Health, Safety and Environment experience in a mentor/ leadership position10+ years’ experience in infrastructure, construction or related industry, with relevant health and safety experiencePossession or pursuit of CRSP, CHSO or other professional HS&E designationThorough knowledge of common commercial construction practices, techniques and equipment including experience at the worksite levelKnowledgeable of local government health & safety acts, policies, regulations, codes and practices as they apply to the commercial and light industrial construction industriesAble to influence work planning and execution by field / operations people as relates to achieving HS&E objectivesDedicated to meeting the requirements of internal and external customers - acts with customers in mindExcellent verbal, communication, project management and analytical skillsAbility to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive employees and business informationAbility to work independently and be part of a cross-functional team environmentExpertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license and clear driving recordSuccessful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements

Working Conditions:

Ability to work extended work hours as the need arises

Compensation

$91,200 to $125,400 annually

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
