ISO 45001 EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3-year health and safety field experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
The ability to demonstrate the application of risk assessment to company operations and activities.
Medical fit and in good physical condition.
Availability to travel.
Occupational Health and Safety Diploma or Certificate e.g. SAMTRAC / Nebosh.
Update/audit ISO 45001
Keep ISO 45001 Files updated
Conduct safety activities including scheduled and unscheduled safety inspections.
Observe work in progress and ensure that proper safety equipment is worn, and relevant safety procedures are followed.
Notify management and staff regarding violations of safety regulations /codes and make recommendations for corrections and follow-up to ensure that violations have been corrected.
Investigate safety and health complaints submitted by management and employees.
Develop and implement, after approval, internal safety rules, policies and guidelines and employee instructions.
Conduct and provide safety training and safety toolbox talks.
Provide HSE support to the projects by maintaining a visible presence in the workshops and project sites, where applicable.
Assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of the HSE programmes in the workshop.
Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable safety legislation, to ensure compliance.
Assist in auditing the Safety Management System.
Provide direction, HSE support and resources to all project managers, supervisors and team leaders.
Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately.
Participate and assist the supervisors, team leaders and safety officers in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause and corrective action, where necessary.
Ensure incident corrective actions are followed up on and implemented.
Ensure new employees are inducted to requirements, and all required documentation is completed accurately and forwarded to the admin department.
Ensure safety boards with postings including, but not limited to Health and Safety Policy, inspections and audit results, project hazard assessment, location of first aid, etc. are maintained.
Conduct monthly inspections, as per requirements.
Prepare for and participate in audits such as ISO 45001.
Communicate, coach and assist the staff to ensure that all safety expectations are understood and met.
Perform other duties related to HSE, as required from time to time.
Comply with all relevant health, safety, environmental, quality, legal and regulatory requirements as stipulated by company requirements.
