This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities. **What You’ll Do:** + Provide support for monitoring injury, illness, and incident-related performance. + Support the development and implementation of strategic solutions to improve performance results. + Examine permits, licenses, applications, and records to ensure compliance. + Prepare, organize, and maintain inspection records. Investigate complaints and suspected violations. + Monitor follow-up actions in cases where violations were found and present findings to management. + Inform the management team, clients, and employees of control regulations and inspection findings, and make recommendations on how violations can be corrected. + Aid in Identifying cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives. + Assist in the provision of advice / guidance on QHSE matters, acting as the subject matter expert. + Enable compliance with all business-wide policy and strategy through management system audits. + Conduct site visits and HSE audits via a rolling program. + Ensure up to date schedule for audits is maintained. + Ensure systems / processes implemented across North America reflect the intentions of CBRE and the client and are in compliance with best industry practice (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001). + Assist with the maintenance of an up to date overview of compliance across the Group and assist in the production of an action plan. + Ensure all staff are made aware of their obligations and responsibilities under the management system of both CBRE and the client + Lead & support initiatives / best practice activities in all areas of QHSE management. + Ensure the achievement of agreed targets, business functional standards and service level agreements. + Ensure client managers and supervisors are equipped with the skills to undertake risk assessments. + Ensure induction training for staff at all sites is completed timely and adequately. + Provide training and information to staff, ensuring they are suitably informed and aware of their duties and responsibilities and compile training presentation where needed. + Support effective business communication through advice, review and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, health and safety committee meetings, consultation forums, correspondence, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate. + Support the QHSE Manager with the requirements for the accounts. **What You’ll Need:** + High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience. 5 years of experience preferred. + BCSP-ASP level certification preferred. OSHA 30 certification preferred. + Ability to work as part of a team. + Desire to learn and develop with the Health and Safety industry. + Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. + Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the HSE Coordinator position is $70,000 annually [or $33.66 per hour] and the maximum salary for the HSE Coordinator position is $80,000 annually [or $38.47 per hour]. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
