HSE Coordinator
The Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator develops, administers, and implements companywide occupational safety programs, and serves as the coordinator for the occupational safety programs within one or more divisions and/or departments. Your Impact:

Leadership & Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain occupational safety programs to meet compliance standards and organizational goals. Compliance & Training: Stay current with legislation, ensure all health and safety policies align with regulations, and provide training for employees at all levels. Risk Mitigation: Identify workplace risks, investigate incidents, and recommend solutions to eliminate or reduce accidents. Continuous Improvement: Foster new ideas to enhance safety programs and reduce the environmental footprint of the facility. Collaboration: Partner with project managers to evaluate safety impacts of new initiatives and modifications to processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain health and safety objectives, targets, and control procedures to meet legal and organizational requirements. Conduct weekly health and safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks. Lead training sessions to ensure all employees are equipped with the knowledge to work safely. Investigate safety violations and implement prevention strategies. Oversee replenishment of first aid supplies and personal protective equipment. Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and implement solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong communicator with proven ability to lead and motivate teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems; advanced MS Suite skills preferred. Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Experience in a manufacturing environment with a thorough understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and service-oriented with a track record of managing multiple projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 1 year of experience, or 5 years of safety-related experience in manufacturing. Safety certifications (e.g., CRSP, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information) are a strong asset. Knowledge of workers’ compensation legislation and safety management systems.
