HSE Coordinator

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental, or other related field
• 5+ years of health, safety, and environmental experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment as a coordinatr

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Safety and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) 

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES

Responsible for the implementation, administration, interpretation, and enforcement of safety & environmental requirements including plant, corporate, local, state, and federal regulations
Establish safety & environmental standards based on risk/hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE management systems (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001)
Review of HSE incidents for root cause and establishment of corrective and preventative actions
Provide technical assistance with various plant staff functions
Coordinate plant safety teams
Develop HSE related policies/procedures for the plant and drive implementation
Conduct hazard assessments of equipment/jobs to ensure they meet all applicable requirements
Lead change management tasks and conduct machine release inspections
Conducts formal reviews of new equipment, equipment modifications, or process changes
Develop HSE related communication including training, safety alerts, and production review meetings
Interact with state and federal agencies and consultants to ensure legal compliance.
Improve and develop cost savings projects in waste management 
Assist/lead safety and environmental audits of key program areas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements .
